Sony is adding another Ultra HD Blu-ray disc player to its product range, the X500, the cheapest model in the X range so far. It joins the X700 and the more expensive X800.
The main difference between the models is that the X500 won’t feature Dolby Vision support, which the X700 received earlier this year by way of a firmware update. Instead, it will only support the HDR10 format.
The X500 launches later this month in Europe, priced at around £200 (about $260).
