Solos™ Smart Cycling Glasses Draws in More Crowds with Kickstarter Campaign and USA Cycling Partnership

Today Solos™ announces the launch of its Kickstarter campaign to serve as a platform of awareness and new updates on the soon-to-be-released smart cycling glasses. Solos is the first and only Augmented Reality Sports Glasses developed with the USA Cycling team. With Solos now serving as a critical tool for the team’s training and insights, USA will have an unparalleled edge entering the Summer 2016 Olympics. Watch a video of the team training with Solos HERE.

Solos takes the world’s smallest heads-up display and pairs it with best in class performance tracking, precision training tools, and a number of every day useful features. It is engineered by MIT graduate, Dr. Ernesto Martinez to provide an extremely slim display projecting real-time data such as speed, cadence, heart rate, power zones, calories, distance and elevation. Additional features include maps and navigation, voice prompts, and call capabilities. Solos also integrates with other training apps such as TrainingPeaks, Strava and MapMyRide.

The Vista™ Pupil optical module on Solos smart glasses is the smallest in the world, providing real-time information in a safe and convenient manner for cyclists. It’s built into the lens of the glasses the armature is fully adjustable depending on user’s facial structures. The optical module casts a high-resolution near-eye stream of applications and offers a visual screen that is 4x larger than fixed displays.

Solos is already in production and is expected to ship to customers and backers September 2016. Solos can also be seen this summer at the Rio Olympic Games on the USA Cycling team this August. Full details and demo videos can be viewed HERE.
