Solomon Systech’s Full-screen AMOLED Touch Controller IC Witnessing Strong Growth (2)

Solomon Systech said that it is seeing strong growth in demand for its AMOLED touch controller which can support flexible OLEDs and should be sampling soon.

Richard Kerslake-Smith, Product Line Director, Mobile Touch, Solomon Systech Group said:

“We are particularly excited to see new handsets that will leverage our new side key algorithms to bring new exciting consumer level interaction with their device & content. We’re building on this success to fulfill customer requirements to bring force and proximity detection enabling true full screen displays, replacing IR sensor and supporting in-display fingerprint authentication.”

Iqbal Sharif Vice President & General Manager, Mobile Touch, Solomon Systech Group, added:

“In view of the growing trend of thinner display screens, and to pave for future development, we have also been working on the next generation touch controller IC that’s built on our proven solution for high capacitive loading. This is a significant advancement in architecture design and process technology which will deliver a step change in power and noise immunity, enabling our customers to innovate with ultra-thin displays and new foldable design concepts. We expect the first sample to be available by end of 2018,”
