Shuttle has announced new Arm-based media players for digital signage in its Nano series, both with UltraHD support and one using PoE. They have Android 5.1 with Shuttle digital signage software. The CPU is a Rockchip RK3368 processor (1.5GHz) with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash memory (a SATA drive can be added). Wi-Fi to 802.11n and Bluetooth are supported and there is an audio out and USB and memory card slots.
The non PoE unit uses an external power block and both are designed to fit on a VESA mount. Special features include a recovery mode if power is interrupted to allow easy restart. The standard NS02A costs $150 and the NS02E, with PoE costs $20 more.
