Sharp showed new Aquos Board interactive displays at the DSE show in the US. The 80” PN-C805B and 70” Class (69.5” diagonal) PN-C705B displays use the direct bonded (3.1mm glass) ‘Pen-on-paper’ PCap touch system that was shown at ISE on the 40″ PN-40TC1 (also being shown as the PN-L401C at DSE). The monitors have FullHD panels with 10 point touch and up to four simultaneous users. Brightness is 350 cd/m² and contrast is 5,000:1 on the 80″, 4,000:1 on the 70″. Response times are 8ms on the smaller version, 4ms on the larger from the UV²A panels. Unlike the Big Pad systems, which have integrated processors, these displays use an external PC. Sharp provide Touch Viewer PC software. Inputs are VGA,and dual HDMI as well as an additonal HDMI on the bottom of the display.
