Sharp Prepares 8k for ISE

ISE preparations are under-way, with more companies having announced their plans for the show. ISE 2016 will run from the 9th – 12th February in Amsterdam.

NEC (4.R24) will again split its stand into areas dedicated to the various areas of its business. One of these will be laser projectors, where NEC will demo its portfolio of solid-state models, reaching 35,000 lumens. Another will show off NEC’s small-pitch LED modules, which will be as low as 1.5mm.

High-brightness displays – now in 55″ and 75″ sizes – as well as thin-bezel (1.8mm) video wall displays; touch displays using Baanto’s ShadowSense; and interactive UST projectors

At the Panasonic stand (1.H20), visitors will be able to see a range of solid-state projectors. These will start at 5,000 lumens and range to ‘ultra-high’ brightness. In addition Panasonic will show its Openport SoC platform. Openport is based on Android and enables any third party software to be installed, without dedicated development.

An end-to-end lineup of displays and projectors, as well as professional broadcast cameras and AV software, will also be shown.

High-end retail signage will be on display at Sharp‘s stand (11.E76), which will include UltraHD and 8k solutions. In addition, the company will show screens with wider colour gamuts, more accurate colour performance and touch. The largest unit on the stand will be a 90″ screen.

New offerings will include a slim 80″ UltraHD monitor with an expanded colour gamut; a 70″ Big Pad supporting wireless collaboration; the first European showing of an 85″ 8k display; and (apparently) the world’s first 80″ capacitive touch screen.

Sharp’s stand will be split into several zones, including Corporate Office, Education, 4k, Digital OOH and Retail.
