Sharp Corporation saw net profits for the first half of the year of ¥34.7 billion ($306 million), compared with losses last year of ¥45.4 billion ($400 million), on revenue of ¥1.1 trillion ($9.8 billion), up from ¥919.7 billion ($8.1 billion). This was a better than expected performance.
Display Systems contributed to profits
Every segment is up for Sharp, but display sales were up 42.8% on Q2 last year.
