Sharp announces that its 70” PN-Q display is now available to buy. The PN-Q range is a new addition to Sharp’s portfolio to meet demand from businesses for high quality but cost-effective devices for signage applications and meeting rooms. The 60”, 80” and 90” models will follow in June.
Kevin English, Visual Solutions Product Manager, Sharp Business Systems UK, said: “The PN-Q range offers a compelling mix of large sizes, professional features and affordability. It has all of the flexibility and functions that end users will need and makes sure that we have a powerful presence in more categories than ever before. This is central to our commitment to becoming an attractive, mainstream vendor.”
The PN-Q range offers outstanding image quality due to Sharp’s unique UV2A technology and latest anti-glare coating. It also offers remote controllability via RS-232 or LAN.
Seven displays from Sharp’s updated PN-R and PN-Y ranges – previewed at ISE – are also now available to buy. These displays offer versatile, high-brightness signage solutions suitable for 24/7 use. The PN-R 42”, 49”, and 55” models are available to purchase now, with the 60” and 70” models following in June. The full range of PN-Y models are available now.
The next generation PN-R displays with 700cd brightness are designed for constant use in busy locations and have fire-proof metal cabinets making them suitable for airport installations. They offer (together with the PN-Y range) a unique variety of installation options, including tilted forward (face-down) or backward (face-up) by up to 90 degrees as well as landscape and portrait modes.
The PN-R displays also feature a Mini OPS extension slot for easier integration into a wider range of user applications. The three Mini OPS modules introduced by Sharp include: a PC module using Intel’s latest low temperature CPU for cable-free integrated computing power; a Wireless module for quick and easy BYOD screen sharing, and a HDBaseT module which provides a simple solution to long distance signal cabling between the display and HDMI devices.
The updated PN-Y series includes an embedded USB media player with Sharp’s Content Distributor software for an easy-to-use ‘plug and play’ signage solution. The automatic default to USB also means the screen will never go blank, even if signal to one of the video inputs is interrupted. The PN-Y series comes in the following range of sizes – 32”, 43”, 49” and 55”.
