In recent weeks, Samsung Display confirmed that it was developing large-sized OLED panels (Samsung “Will Proceed” With Large OLEDs). Reports from the Korea Display Industry Association indicate that Samsung is discussing a large investment (about $3 billion) in a new OLED TV panel fab. Samsung aim to build a Gen-8 fab, with orders expected to start in September 2016.
