A curved 27″ monitor has been introduced by Samsung. The company says that this makes the S27D590C perfectly suited to entertainment uses such as gaming. Viewing distances to all parts of the screen are ‘nearly uniform’, from the centre to the edges. Up to three units can be used together, for a more immersive viewing experience.
As well as the curve, Samsung has developed a game mode for the monitor. This detects on-screen changes and corrects blurry images, enhances colours and alters contrast for improved visibility.
1920 x 1080 resolution is supplied by the VA panel, as well as 178 deg viewing angles and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. The backlight supplies 350 cd/m
