The Korea Economic Daily reported plans from the IMID event in Korea. Among the highlights was a demo of a prototype Flex In & Out display, also called the S-Foldable (pictured). It also showed its Eco² OLED that is in the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
LG Display focused on an 8K 88″ OLED with ‘cinematic sound’ as well as the 55″ transparent ‘OLED Smart Bed’ that it has shown before.
What We Think
I like the idea of a tri-fold, but much will depend on how much cost and difficulty there is in including two hinges, which are a tricky part of the design. I would also expect it to be difficult to make a tri-fold design thin enough for most people. At least, not yet! (BR)
