The Investor blog in Korea reports that both LG Display and Samsung Display have dropped plans to reduce their LCD capacity. “We previously expected the LCD supply shortage to ease in the second quarter, but it appears that the issue remains unresolved,” said an LG Display official.
Separately, BusinessKorea has said that LG Display has been asked to supply flexible OLEDs to Apple for the next iPhone and will make a final decision at its board meeting at the end of June.
