Samsung is making a major push into the premium gaming monitor space with the launch of its 2025 Odyssey lineup worldwide, introducing a range of high-performance displays. The latest announcement from the company signals the debut of the 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF) which features a glasses-free 3D display using light field and eye tracking technologies to convert standard 2D content into an immersive 3D experience. This monitor also integrates ambient Edge Lighting synced to on-screen action and boasts high-end specs including a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms GtG response time, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync. According to data from IDC, Samsung gpt 28% market share by revenue in the North American gaming monitor market last year.

From March 24 to 28, 2025, Samsung hosted its exclusive eXperience 2025 event at the Fairmont Austin in Texas, bringing together nearly 600 of its key clients from North America. Attendees included major retailers and partners such as MicroCenter, Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart. The event served as a strategic platform for Samsung to debut its latest gaming monitor lineup.
As for the Odyssey 3D, it uses a lenticular lens on the front panel in conjunction with a front-facing stereo camera to create an immersive three-dimensional experience. Samsung also introduced AI-powered 2D-to-3D content conversion.
Coinciding with the event, Samsung opened official reservations for all three models on March 25 via Samsung.com. Customers who reserved early were offered a $50 discount during the pre-order period, giving them early access to these next-generation gaming displays.
Alongside the 3D model, Samsung is updating its OLED offerings with the Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF), available in 27-inch and 32-inch versions. The 27-inch variant is especially notable as the industry’s first 27” 4K OLED gaming monitor, combining a 240Hz refresh rate with 166ppi pixel density. The QD-OLED panel supports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, and uses Samsung’s OLED Safeguard+ cooling system to reduce burn-in risks.
Then there is the 49-inch Odyssey G91F, featuring an ultra-wide 32:9 Dual QHD screen with a 1000R curvature, essentially offering the experience of two side-by-side 16:9 monitors. This massive display supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms GtG response time.
