Samsung Launches New High-Resolution 2021 Monitor Lineup

What They Say

Samsung released a number of new office monitors in three series, the S8, S7 and S6 with sizes from 24″ to 34″ and resolutions of 3440 x 1440 (WQuadHD), 2560 x 1440 (QuadHD) or UltraHD. Details are in the table.

The feature that we noted as less usual is the inclusion in the S60UA/S65UA models of RJ45 connectivity as well as daisy-chaining. That allows easier use in docking applications. Charging in the USB Type-C models is a relatively high level of 90W.

What We Think

When first introduced, the RJ-45 connector was only available via TPV and its brands, however, it then migrated to, if I remember correctly, HP, but is getting more widespread. Although much of the world is Wi-Fi-based these days, I have to admit that I keep my PC’s dock directly connected to my router! Over the last couple of years, the demand for monitors that can support docking well has really increased. (BR)
