Samsung has launched a new Design Innovation Center, based in San Francisco, California. Dr. Federico Casalegno, an associate professor of the practice at the MIT, as well as founder and executive director of the MIT Design Lab and founder of the MIT Mobile Experience Lab, has been appointed as the head of the new facility. The centre was already involved in product design but is extending to ‘multi-device user-experiences.
The SDIC is part of the Corporate Design Center, located in Seoul, and one of seven Samsung design studios globally.
