We have previously reported on rumours of Samsung’s plans to re-enter the OLED TV market (Samsung to Invest in Large OLED). A new story from Business Korea gives some credence to the rumour. SDC will (apparently) construct a G8 OLED fab in Tangjeong, South Chungcheong Province in Q3 this year. Initial investment is said to be between KRW2 trillion ($1.7 billion) and KRW3 trillion ($2.6 billion).
