Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G (Snapdragon) Display review: Near-twin of Exynos version

What They Say

DXO tested the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G (Snapdragon) display which it found was ‘almost entirely’ identical scores to the Exynos-based version. The site liked the performance, with good readability in most conditions (although colour performance was degraded under sunlight), a satisfying experience when watching HDR10 videos and good smoothness and frame rate management. The display was ‘slightly dazzling’ in dark ambient conditions and the site thought there should be more blue light filtration. It also thought that still image colours were generally too saturated.

What We Think

I missed the earlier review of the Exynos-based version. It was interesting to note that the firm agreed that the display is legible under most conditions as Samsung Display trumpeted its UL certification for this aspect earlier this year.
