Samsung has amended its timeframe for the release of an upcoming range of foldable smartphones.
Speaking at a press briefing shortly before this week’s CES trade show, the President of Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business, Koh Dong-jin, dialled the company’s release prediction back a little, having previously stated that the device would be available in 2018.
Koh mentioned durability issues with the device, tentatively named Samsung Galaxy X, which is the most likely reason for the delay. The smartphone, which will apparently feature a 7.3″ foldable OLED screen, is now on course to enter mass-production in November 2018.
