An unnamed Samsung executive has apparently told the Korea Times that the company expects to sell more than 70 million S6 and S6 Edge smartphones this year. “I have no doubt that they will be the biggest sellers in the Galaxy series ever”, the source said. However, opening weekend sales figures in Korea were lower than expected. Samsung said that Galaxy S6/S6 Edge sales were between 200,000 and 250,000; lower than the estimated 300,000 pre-sales, leading to some scepticism from analysts.
