Samsung Electronics Pauses Efforts to Develop Foldable Glass

Business Korea reports that Samsung has temporarily stopped its project to make its own foldable glass. The decision was made that it was likely to be more competitive if it focussed instead on helping optimise the supply chain that Samsung Display is already using (Schott glass, processed by Dowoo Insys, which is majority controlled by Samsung). Samsung had been trying to develop based on glass from Corning and using laser processing.
