The Elec reports that Samsung Display will use different OLED material stacks on different models of the Apple iPhone 14 series. The 6.1″ and 6.7″ standard models will use the M11 set with an LTPS backplane, while the higher models will use the M12 set with LTPO backplanes. That set is being used on the soon-to-be-announced Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.
Samsung Display similarly used different materials set for the panels of the Galaxy S22 series, the Elec said. OLED panels for the Ultra and Plus models used the M11 set while the standard S22 used M10.
LG Display will supply two panels, The Elec said and calls its OLED material set RS. It will be using the latest in the set called RS-L for the two models in the iPhone 14 series it will be supplying panels for – the 6.1-inch standard iPhone 14 and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Earlier, the Korea IT News said that Samsung will be using Duksan Neolux prime material for the RG emitters and HTL and SDI will supply the green host while Solus Advanced Materials will supply the A-ETL. (Samsung Display to Add Solus as a Supplier for OLED M12 Material) UDC remains the supplier of red and green emitter dopants and SFC of Korea supplies the blue dopants according to DSCC.
