Samsung Display completes QNED structure development

What They Say

The Elec reports that Korean OLED specialist analyst UBI Research has said that Samsung Display has now completed the development of the structure of its QNED technology. The firm has analysed 160 patents relating to the technology. Samsung is said to still need to find a way to maintain the alignment of nanorod LEDs within each pixel. Of the 160 patents, 49 were related to nanorod alignment.

Variations in LED density are a challenge but the report said that Samsung has a way of ensuring uniformity even when the number of nanorods varies between the pixels.
