Samsung has pre-paid for a supply of LED chips from San’an Optoelectronics worth $18.63 million to establish a long-term partnership to co-develop Micro LED displays.
The two companies will continue to discuss their future plans, including San’an Opto becoming Samsung’s major LED chip supplier going forward. The current agreement is due to run until the end of the third year from the date of mass production.
