Samsung and Micro LED developer PlayNitride are reported to be in the final stages of acquisition talks, according to LED Inside, a division of TrendForce.
Citing “anonymous sources from the industry”, the publication confirmed the rumours that have been circulating since May this year (Will Samsung Buy PlayNitride?) despite PlayNitride’s CEO Charles Li remaining tight-lipped.
LED chip-maker Epistar and semiconductor firm United Microelectronics Corporation are among PlayNitride’s current shareholders.
