What They Say
Samsung put out a video that allows its engineers to talk about some of the decisions behind the Galaxy X Fold3 including the UDC and the support of the S Pen. There are two kinds of S Pen, a basic one without battery and a battery-powered Pro version. The video explains how the S Pen is better integrated and with better pen>text support, including support for Chinese and Japanese pictograms. There is a description of the way that some of the software works.
The firm has a special cover with storage for the S Pen and BLE can be used to ‘find my S Pen’.
What We Think
Really, the video adds little to what has already been said about the new smartphone.
A finger is a poor stylus and sometimes I’m very pleased to have the S Pen on my Galaxy Note, but it’s stored in the phone, so it’s always available. I’m not sure I’d want to bother with a special case! (BR)
