Rumoured Specs and Design for Google Pixel Successors

Ahead of an official announcement later in the year, various unconfirmed details of the new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 have been leaked on the web.

Design-wise, it is anticipated that the new models will be more-or-less identical to its popular predecessor. However, the Pixel 2 will apparently go with a near bezel-free display, freeing up more screen real estate.

According to reports, the Pixel 2 will feature a 5″ FullHD display, with a 6″ Quad HD screen going into the premium XL model.

It is also rumoured that, while the Pixel 2 will be made by HTC, as was its predecessor, the Pixel 2 XL is in the hands of LG, lending credence to previous reports that the XL model will be moving into OLED territory.

Detailed camera specs have so far remained under wraps, but with the larger sensor rumoured to be featured in both models, it would appear that Google intends to improve on the Pixel’s already-impressive offering, named by many as the best smartphone camera ever.

Among other leaked details, both devices will apparently use the new version of the Android operating system, Android 8.0, and will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM.
