Aaeon rugged tablets are available from RDS in the UK. The RTC-699A has a display that is a 5.7″ 1280 x 720 LCD and is fitted with Gorilla Glass. The tablet is heat and cold resistant, shock and drop resistant and water resistant to IP-67. It is designed to withstand water, dust, sand, snow and mud, it is also MIL-STD 810G for tough environments.
The system runs Android 4.2.2 on an OMPA 4470 processor from TI and has 1GB SDRAM. The Li-polymer, high capacity battery life is up to eight hours, which can be extended, using a swappable battery.
The RTC-700 has a 7″ 1280 x 720 LCD is powered by an Intel Atom 5-Z8350 quad core processor operating at 1.92GHz, with 2GB DDR3L-RS 1600 SDRAM. It is available in versions with support for Windows 10 IOT Enterprise OS or Android 5.1 OS.
There are variations including barcode scanning, magnetic strip/smart card reader. The company also has a 10.1″ version available.
