What They Say
ROE Visual said in an email to us that it will have a new Ruby LED panel, the 1.9BV2, for ‘broadcast grade’ applications that will be shown at IBC in September. It will be using the panel in its Ghostframe demonstrations which exploits its high frame rate. Roelof Bouwman, General Manager, Roe Visual said:
“The high frame rate, high refresh rate and low scan lines of the Ruby 1.9BV2 make its in-camera performance unrivalled”
What We Think
Well, that was quick! We reported on the 1.9B being launched at Prolight & Sound in April so V2 is available quickly. Ghostframe is an interesting technology that exploits high frame rates for virtual production screens to allow alternative backgrounds – for example to use the same live actors, but with backgrounds optimised for different geographies or languages.
