ReThink Releases Report on the Future of TV Voice Control

ReThink Technology Research has released a report regarding TV voice control and the challenges and pitfalls involved, predicting that the number of voice control units will increase 570% by 2022.

The report apparently explains, in layman’s terms, the mechanics of voice control in context to pay TV and video delivery, and the possibilities it presents to manage and keep pay TV customers. It also illustrates how the proposed increase in the number of voice control units will lead to voice emerging as a platform in its own right.

It reportedly offers a detailed region-by-region survey of voice control in video and pay TV, argues how to profit from different market scenarios such as voice being like Apple’s App Store might act as a route to market for services and explores the reasons why AI and natural language engine programming skills are so important and why they will be at a premium.
