Razer Switches LCD For OLED on Open-Source Headset

Photo credit: CNetRazer has shown a new prototype of its OSVR headset, first seen at CES (Razer Strikes Nvidia’s Shield). The original used an LCD display, which has now been changed for an OLED. Additionally the unit can now connect to smartphones and mirror its display to another screen. Razer has also introduced two modular face plates, which both add head-tracking functionality; one through IR and the other through dual cameras. Plans for both can be downloaded and the modules can be 3D-printed. Razer plans to launch the headset for $200 in June.
