LG and Samsung are working on quantum dot TVs, claims Korea’s Digital Times. Both companies are working on products that may be released next year.

Samsung could use a QD-LCD TV to compete with LG’s OLED models, at a lower price. However, a deal between Nanoco and ‘a major South Korean electronics company’, signed earlier this year (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 13), is thought to refer to LG. (TA)
