According to an Economic Daily News report, Quanta Computer expects to report good second-half results this year, due to the increased demands for notebooks, servers and the expected release of the new Apple Watch. The company has seen its notebook shipments growing every single month in this year’s second quarter, and it is anticipated that this trend will continue throughout 2017.
The notebook original design manufacturer business, expects its shipments to increase by a single-digit percentage sequentially in the current quarter, and in the second half of this year the results could be higher than those in the first half of 2017.
Quanta is making smartwatches for Apple and most of its production is for older versions, but the business is reported to be keeping the company’s smartwatch assembly business profitable.
