Quanta Computer Inc. has announced its Q3 FY16 results with net sales of NT$ 223.7 bn ($7.1 bn) and net profit of NT$ 3.9 bn ($123 mn), resulting in a net profit margin of 1.7%. The quarterly net sales were up 7.7% from the previous quarter (Q2 FY16) sales of NT$ 207.7 bn ($6.4 bn) but were 18.9% lower than last year’s Q3 sales of NT$ 275.9 bn ($8.6 bn). A similar trend was visible in net profit figures with a 13% jump over the previous quarter’s figures but 32.2% lower than the Q3 FY15 net profit.
The sales for first 9 months of FY16 amounted to NT$ 628.7 bn ($19.4 bn), 14.1% lower than the similar figure for FY15 at NT$ 732.0 bn ($23.2 bn). The net income figure mirrored the same trend with a 14% fall over last year’s figure.
