Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 has made a range of new HbbTV features accessible via the red button for viewers of its free-to-air TV channels. The new features are primarily focused on catch-up TV services — full past episodes can be accessed and content is also now categorised into playlists covering an array of subjects.
Also new is an interactive feed featuring news and entertainment, plus other activities like quizzes and in-show voting. Many of these features can be used while continuing to watch the currently broadcasting TV programme.
