Taiwan’s Posiflex manufactures point-of-sale (PoS) devices, and has expanded its range with a new tablet: the MT-4008W. Available in two packages, for retail and hospitality, the 7.85″ tablet can be used with a pistol grip (retail) or hand strap (hospitality). Both packages also feature a touch pen (although 10-point finger touch is supported); the retail bundle adds a removable battery.
A 1D or 2D barcode scanner is built in to the tablet, and an optional docking station can turn the device into an AIO PoS unit. The dock adds receipt printers and expands the connectivity with USB, serial and LAN ports.
