PMA Research has released its new sell-through tracking report on large-sized flat-panel displays being sold in the United States.
The report shows that sales of professional Ultra HD displays in the US grew again in September, quadrupling the volumes of UHD displays sold at the same time last year.
The article goes on to say that in the AV/IT distribution channel, Ultra HD displays accounted for 21% of revenue and 11% of volume. Samsung was the biggest-selling manufacturer of UHD displays in September, holding the top three positions with their QM65H, QM49H and U32H850UMN models respectively.
LG rounded out the top six with its 70UW340C in fourth, the 55UV340C in fifth and 75UV340C in sixth. The corporate/government sector accounted for the largest percentage of volume with 30%, with digital signage on 24% and commercial TVs at 23%.
In the Pro AV channel, Ultra HD models took 43% of revenue in September, the second-highest share so far in 2017, behind the record-high of 49% seen in August. Samsung also took the gold in the Pro AV channel—the QM85D placed first, followed by the QM65H. SMART came in third with its 6265-V2.
