PMA Research Reveals Best-Selling Projectors for High-Bright Laser-Phosphor, Interactive and 4K UHD Segments in April

PMA Research, the worldwide market information experts on front projectors, has posted highlights from their most recent Projector Tracking Service results to the “Top-Selling Projectors” area of their website.

For more than 25 years now, PMA Research has collected monthly sell-through data from leading U.S. projector dealers, retailers, web resellers, and distributors. Their Tracking Service family of monthly reports offers timely data and analysis on unit sales, true volume-weighted street prices, and inventories of front projectors for these channels.

Each month, PMA Research posts their “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:

Laser Projectors with 5000 and Higher Lumens

This “Top 5? list is compiled from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of IT, Pro AV, and CEDIA distributors. Among these +5000-lumen, laser-phosphor projectors, Panasonic had three of the top-selling units in April. Their PT-RZ570 came in first, the PT-VMZ60 came in third, and the PT-VMZ50 came in fifth. Epson’s BrightLink 1485Fi took the second spot, and NEC’s NP-P525UL came in fourth.

Interactive Projectors

This “Top 5? list is compiled from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of Pro AV dealers and systems integrators. In the Interactive projector segment, Maxell had a pair of projectors make the April list. Their MC-TW3506 took top honors and the MC-TW4011 came in fourth. Epson rounded out the interactive projector list with three BrightLink models. The BrightLink 695Wi, BrightLink 685Wi, and BrightLink 1480Fi came in second, third and fifth, respectively.

4K UHD Home Entertainment Projectors

This “Top 5? list is compiled from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of U.S. retailers, web resellers, and custom installers. For 4K UHD home entertainment projector sales, Optoma took three of the top five spots in April. Their UHD60, UHD50, and the CinemaX P1 came in first, second and fifth, respectively. BenQ’s HT3550 came in third, and ViewSonic completed this 4K UHD Home Entertainment projector list with the PX747-4K in the fourth spot.
