There is a new app for Apple TV and Android platforms called Plex Live TV which adds PVR functions to unencrypted TV signals that are derived from SiliconDust, Hauppauge, AVerMedia and DVBLogic. The details of support vary according to the region. The app can pause and rewind live TV as well as recording programmes where there is access to a hard disk drive.
A Plex Pass costs $5/month, $40/year or $120 for a ifetime licence. Plex members can get a discount on Dropbox accounts for cloud storage.
