Planar has updated its UltraRes large-format displays, which are aimed at the emerging UltraHD ecosystem. While retaining most features and specifications from previous releases, the new models also bring something new to the mix.
Available in 75″ (new), 84″ and 98″ sizes, the UltraRes displays now support UltraHD playback at 60fps, via HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. They are also compliant with HDCP 2.2. In addition, up to four sources can be displayed at the same time (picture-by-picture) or two, inset (picture-in-picture).
The new displays feature an OPS slot and have been redesigned to make installation and access easier. They feature an in-bezel touch system, supporting up to 32 touch points, and a redundant power supply.
Planar is selling the new UltraRes displays through its distributors now.
