Ping HD Announces Grocery Retail Partnership with Adcorp360

Digital signage software solution provider Ping HD has announced that grocery retail advertising group Adcorp360 is rolling out its EngagePHD content management platform on system-on-a-chip digital signage displays from Samsung. With an initial rollout of 100 stores, the plan is to roll out to over 2,500 grocery stores throughout the US, Adcorp360 selected EngagePHD to power synchronised advertising content across multiple displays located at the point of purchase. With 10 to 12 displays per store, the eventual potential volume is estimated at up to 30,000 unit (although sixteen-nine.net is sceptical about the project, having seen many advertising-based systems founder on the difficulty of getting enough advertising – we wouldn’t argue! Man. Ed.)

The solution is built around 32” Samsung Smart Signage Platform commercial displays which eliminates the need for any external media players or onsite servers and reduces the number of potential failure points. Each screen is connected to the internet wirelessly through a router over a cellular network and content is synchronised across all screens.
