Philips monitors, proudly announce their presence at this year’s Digital Healthcare Show from 18-19 May 2022 at ExCeL London. The exhibition will welcome CIOs, CCIOs, senior IT leaders and clinicians from the NHS, local government, ICS and Primary Care to showcase new developments and cutting edge case studies in digital healthcare.
Philips monitors will showcase its professional business portfolio with webcam-equipped, USB-C docking monitors to support the healthcare sector in the changed and increasingly flexible post-pandemic work environments. During the event, Philips monitors will also highlight their partnership with TheRockinR gaming charity, which implements monitors on gaming carts dedicated to the use by bed-ridden children and young people to reduce the impact of their hospitalisation and isolation in hospitals.
Making children’s time in hospitals easier – Philips monitors and TheRockinR
TheRockinR charity provides interactive mobile gaming solutions, technology, and equipment to sick children and young people in hospitals. At the DHS, attendees can check out the gaming cart from TheRockinR, equipped with the gaming monitor 27M1N3200ZA from Philips. For children and young people at hospitals who unfortunately have to cope with isolation, anxiety, stress and boredom, the gaming carts by TheRockinR can lift the children’s spirits and provide respite during their difficult recovery period.
Furthermore, attendees can also check out Kinetic ID carts equipped with the Philips 24″ 242B9TN, a 10-point touch screen display with IP65 certification, which can be used with medical gloves (Nitrile (0.15 mm), Cotton (0.31 mm), CPE (0.03 mm), and PVC (0.12 mm)) as well. At the event, this medical cart can demonstrate its pill dispensing technology for patients as it moves around the ward.
Professional displays for doctors and clinicians
At the Digital Healthcare Show, Philips monitors will showcase their SuperWide display, the 499P9H, with a 32:9 aspect ratio. This 49″ super-sized display with 5120×1440 pixels is essentially two 27″ QHD displays combined in one seamless curved panel. For healthcare professionals who, for example, need to enter patients’ data and access other programs at the same time, a sleek, futuristic display such as the 499P9H can transform today’s hospitals and increase their staff’s productivity, so they can focus primarily on the patients. The built-in USB-C docking station makes connecting a laptop a breeze, with only a single cable powering it (up to 65W) and transferring the video and data signal. Thanks to the RJ-45 input of the monitor, the network connection can also be routed to a laptop to increase security, crucial for confidentiality of patients’ records. And a built-in, pop-up webcam with Windows Hello support allows doctors to unlock their PC without entering a password thanks to facial recognition, further increasing security and comfort, especially when staff has its hands full.
The 346P1CRH, an Ultrawide display with a 21:9 aspect ratio can be seen at the event as well. This model features a curved 34″ display with 3440×1440 pixels, including also a USB-C docking station with 65W power delivery, Windows Hello webcam and RJ-45 input. While being smaller than the 49″ 499P9H, its ultrawide display can equally replace dual monitor setups, and an additional, built-in KVM switch enables users to switch between two devices, such as a desktop and laptop, while using the same keyboard and mouse.
Further Philips monitors on display at the DSH include the 43″ 439P1 and 32″ 329P1H, both professional 4K monitors with enormous screen real estate that also feature USB-C connectivity and RJ-45 inputs.
For users who want to have a dual monitor setup, the combination of the ergonomic 24″ Philips 243B1JH and the 24″ 242B1 can be also experienced at the DSH. The 243B1JH features a Windows Hello webcam for easy login, a USB-C docking station with 100 W power delivery, and a DC-output to power miniPCs. This “hybrid” model also supports the DisplayLink technology, so it can be connected to older, legacy laptops which lack the USB-C port – whilst still allowing the video signal to be transferred via USB. Additionally, thanks to the DisplayPort output on the 243B1JH, a DisplayPort cable from this model can be connected directly to another monitor such as the Philips 242B1 to achieve a clean, sleek multi-monitor setup. All it takes for this is to connect the USB cable from the 243B1JH to the laptop, and voilà!
Finally, to demonstrate Philips monitors’ dedication to sustainability, attendees can appraise the green model 272B1G, which features a special backlight to reduce energy consumption while keeping the colours and image quality unaffected, consuming just 9.2 W in its ECO mode. With 100% recyclable packaging, and 85% the monitor being made out of recycled plastics, the 27″ Full HD monitor 272B1G can be a real game-changer in hospitals in terms of cost savings and bringing sustainability to hospitals. Philips monitors continue to improve their environmental tracks, shown by their partnerships with ForestNation, PACT, and Closing the Loop, ensuring responsibility in the design, production and end-of-life phases of their products.
