Hexus.net has published a review of the Philips 436M6VBPAB 43″ UltraHD HDR1000 monitor, advertised as the first monitor to achieve the HDR1000 label. Unfortunately, the review is mixed, with the local dimming used to support the HDR effect causing some artefacts when the monitor is used for regular PC applications. The blog also found that getting support for HDR sometimes needs manual intervention and this reduces the quality of SDR content. It did enjoy using the monitor for console applications.
