PatientPoint has completed a $140 million investment round to fund existing programmes, and for acquisitions and partnerships. PatientPoint provides waiting room digital screens in surgeries and hospitals and interactive touchscreens in examination rooms, and has installations in 31,000 surgeries and 1,000 hospitals in the US. The investment is from Searchlight Capital Partners and Silver Point Capital.
Mike Collette, founder and CEO of Cincinnati-based PatientPoint has a goal to provide pharmaceutical advertising by 2019 that can influence what patients ask their doctors to prescribe, with a success rate of 60% to 70%.
PatientPoint develops the majority of its content internally, tailoring education to specific products to ensure that it meets the needs of patients and providers in the point-of-care environment.
