Parks Associates has forecast that global OTT revenues will rise from sub-$9 billion to more than $19 billion in 2019. In the USA and UK, 57% of broadband households subscribe to such a service, compared to 29% in Spain and 24% in Germany. Around 7% of US households (8.4 million) were found to subscribe to broadband and OTT, but not pay-TV. The same figure is around 4% in other Western nations.
