Dolby has announced that Paramount will begin mastering and releasing its movies in Dolby Vision. The Ultra HD titles will be released on UHD Blu-ray and via streaming services.
Paramount follows Disney, Universal, Warner Bros, Sony Pictures and Lionsgate in signing on to use Dolby Vision and Atmos for their Ultra HD mastering.
Among Paramount’s cinematic releases in 2017 were Ghost in the Shell, Transformers: The Last Knight and Baywatch.
Analyst Comment
20th Century Fox has been highlighted as the last remaining major studio to not say that it will create content that supports Dolby Vision via UltraHD Blu-ray.
