PanelSemi launched a 55″ miniLED flexible direct view display that weighs just 1 kg, just 1mm (although, elsewhere the firm says ‘just 0.5cm’) and with 960 x 540 resolution (1.2mm). The unit is designed to be portable and can run for four hours on a a 10KmAh power bank. The unit is made from 9″ (23cm) square tiles and the overall display can be tiled to create a 110″ display with FullHD resolution. The display is reported to have 600 cd/m² of output.
What We Think
The firm said that it has a ‘foundry model’ for its business, although I’m not quite sure how that would work. I found the nice image below on LED Inside. (BR)
