Fossil and Intel have announced their intent to join forces to create wearable products for ‘fasion-oriented’ consumers. The company said that it would create Android Wear devices earlier this year.
Fove Plans Dev Kit in 2015
Japan’s Fove has built a proof-of-concept head-mounted display with eye tracking. It is now preparing to release a developers’ kit in 2015. Fove says that its product may enable people with restricted use of their hands to simulate the use of a mouse and keyboard, using their eyes.
Himax to Develop AR Glasses With Optinvent
Himax Display, which manufactures LCOS microdisplays for Himax, is to enter a partnership with Optinvent – producer of the Ora Smart Glasses. The companies will aim to produce ‘next-generation’ AR glasses, using Himax’s LCOS technology and Optinvent’s retinal projection engine.

Large Panel Shipments 7.7% Higher MoM
Taiwan’s four major panel manufacturers shipped a total of 23 million large panels in July, a 7.7% improvement from July and 3.5% higher year on year.
