200 of Christie’s CP2220 have been purchased by the China Film Group Corporation (CFGC), a state-run film organisation. The projectors will be installed in CFGC’s cinema chain around the country. The purchase boosts the organisation’s Christie projector fleet to almost 1,000 digital cinema models.
Cruise company Royal Caribbean will equip all crew members with a Windows tablet in the near future. The company will begin the roll-out of 40,000 Hexa tablets in October.

Cree and Lextar Electronics have entered into a supply agreement for sapphire-based LED chips, with Cree gaining approximately 13% of Lextar through an $83 million investment.
