Sharp’s Touch Recognised by ISSCC

A new touch panel system developed by Sharp has received an ISSCC 2014 Demonstration Session Certificate of Recognition. The system enables multiple styluses to be used to draw lines of various thicknesses and colours, while rejecting hand input.

Philips Reaches Ecovision Target Ahead of Schedule

Philips’ ‘green products’ represented 52% of total product sales last year, the company has said (€11.1 billion). Lighting was the largest contributor. As well as reducing its carbon footprint by 5% YoY, Philips also achieved its €2 billion Ecovision target a year ahead of schedule.
