Super 8, a DOOH company in Spain, has installed a 222m² LED screen in Madrid. The 6m x 37m display, installed on a skyscraper in the Plaza del Callao, has a 6mm pixel pitch and uses Samsung LED modules. Super 8 also operates several more DOOH screens in Madrid, which were produced by Daktronics.
Panasonic once again sponsored the displays at the Olympic Games, providing TVs, projectors and LED screens. Although Mediatek’s revenues in June reached a record high of NT$24.9 billion ($792.2 million), its July revenues fell 0.2% MoM, to NT$24.8 billion ($789.1 million). However, this still represents a 38.6% YoY increase. For 2016 overall, Mediatek expects its revenues to climb 25% YoY. Its year-to-date revenues at NT$153.3 billion ($4.9 billion): up 36.2% YoY.
HTC’s revenues fell 0.6% MoM and 14.7% YoY in July, to NT$6.3 billion ($200.4 million). Its year-to-date revenues were NT$40 billion ($1.3 billion), down 51% YoY. Despite this, HTC expects its Q3 performance to be better than Q2, thanks to sales of its HTC 10 smartphone and Vive headset.
