MediaTek Continues to Climb

Although Mediatek’s revenues in June reached a record high of NT$24.9 billion ($792.2 million), its July revenues fell 0.2% MoM, to NT$24.8 billion ($789.1 million). However, this still represents a 38.6% YoY increase. For 2016 overall, Mediatek expects its revenues to climb 25% YoY. Its year-to-date revenues at NT$153.3 billion ($4.9 billion): up 36.2% YoY.

HTC Optimistic About Q3

HTC’s revenues fell 0.6% MoM and 14.7% YoY in July, to NT$6.3 billion ($200.4 million). Its year-to-date revenues were NT$40 billion ($1.3 billion), down 51% YoY. Despite this, HTC expects its Q3 performance to be better than Q2, thanks to sales of its HTC 10 smartphone and Vive headset.
